The UAE has signed two strategic agreements with copyright organisations in India and China. This initiative marks a significant step towards fostering international cooperation in protecting the rights of creators and ensuring fair compensation for their work, as reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

The agreements were formalised by the Emirates Reprographic Rights Management Association.

These partnerships aim to facilitate the exchange of protected creative content among stakeholders while guaranteeing that authors and publishers receive equitable remuneration for the use of their works. By strengthening cross-border cooperation, the agreements seek to enhance copyright protection mechanisms, particularly in response to challenges posed by digital transformation.

Officials claimed that facilitating the exchange of intellectual assets between organisations would enable creators to expand the reach of their works while ensuring they receive their rightful earnings in global markets.
