Moroccan outfit AS FAR’s pursuit of Simba FC mentor Fadluraghman “Fadlu” Davids has ended on a disappointing note for the North Africans.

AS FAR, also known as FAR Rabat, has been on the lookout for a new head coach following the dismissal of Frenchman Hubert Velud.

Davids, 43, has impressed in Tanzania with his side neck and neck with nemesis Young Africans for the Liga Kuu Bara 2024/25 season title.

Davids has also guided Simba to the CAF Confederation Cup Quarterfinals and will find out their opponents when the draw is conducted on Thursday, 20 February 2025, in Doha, Qatar.

For now, though, Davids’s focus is solely on Simba, the 22-time league champions of the Tanzanian Premier League.

African Times has confirmed that FAR Rabat has been informed that Davids, who hails from Cape Town in the Western Cape, is not going anywhere.

He arrived at Simba in July 2024 after a stint with Moroccan club Raja Casablanca, where he served as an assistant to Jozef Zinnbauer.

Davids is on a two-year deal with Simba.
