The South African Football Association (Safa) president Danny Jordaan is looking forward to a “buzzing” Peter Mokaba Stadium next month.
Bafana Bafana have a date with neighbours Lesotho – a FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifier that will be played at the Polokwane venue on 21 March, which is a Human Rights Day in South Africa.
The local football controlling body has announced that tickets for the match are on sale and Jordaan has urged the nation to rally behind the team.
“This is an important year for Bafana Bafana as we have the resumption of the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup next month, and we are participating in the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco at the end of the year. Bafana Bafana have not played in Limpopo in a very long time (since 2016) and it will be special to kick off the year in Polokwane,” said Jordaan.
“We want Peter Mokaba Stadium to be buzzing on the day, so we urge the fans to get their tickets and ensure a superb atmosphere inside the stadium.”
Tickets are on sale at TicketPro for R70 (adults) and R40 (children under the age of 12). The game will be broadcast live on SABC.
