The controversial former ANC Member of Parliament Boy Mamabolo has attacked former Limpopo ANC Youth League Chairperson Mathews Mabalane, saying he must “rot in hell”.
Mabalane passed away on Sunday, 30 March 2025.
He served as a communication officer and legal advisor to ANC NEC member Onnica Kwakwa (formerly Moloi) during her tenure as Limpopo MEC of Sports, Arts and culture, passed away on Sunday, 30 March 2025.
Following Kwakwa’s announcement on Facebook that Malebana passed away, Mamabolo labelled it as well deserved and said the man must “rot in hell.”
“He must ROT in hell …he got me arrested and took me to Court, alleging that i chowed Limpopo Geographical Names money and I was acquitted on his lies ….a le hwe lekgwehle (a person with albinism condition)” he wrote on his Facebook page.
The wayward axed ANC MP blamed the deceased for his arrest in 2013, after being implicated in a financial scandal involving nearly R1 million.
Mamabolo spewed his bile on the deceased on Facebook and targeted Malebana and Kwakwa.
“Arrested for 14 days, denied bail, sent to Polokwane Correctional services because of maaka (lies of ) Matthews Malebana.”
During his tenure as the chairman of Limpopo Geographical Names Committee, Mamabolo could not account for the body’s money in the region of R800,000.
On June 11, 2010, money to the tune of R400,000 was transferred by the Limpopo Department of Sport, Arts and Culture to a bank account of the Geographical Names Committee. The department . transferred another sum of R400,000 on September 30, 2011.
Exactly 26 days later, the committee was again broke and left with only R25,000.
In November of the same year. Mamabolo allegedly briefed the board about his intentions to resign.
The former MP further turned on Kakwa, launching personal attacks and accusing her of lacking morals. He also claimed she gave tenders to an EFF aligned businessman during her tenure as MEC.
This was despite Kwakwa cautioning him against writing insults under her posts.
“You have been insulting the ANC everyday when you closed outside, now you are working for Mam Angie ( Minister of the Department of Defence) and your are next on the MP list ….you wanna act holly?
“You have been pushing business for an EFF aligned Chillers on Wheels, because your little brother Sakkie is a Co-director there, Sakkie Mabala who is forever campaigning against the ANC,” Mamabolo.
When African Times News called Limpopo ANCYL Provincial Secretary Pheanus Sebola, he said they would respond to Mamabolo’s insults in a statement, which was yet to be released
