Midfield maestro Thulani Serero is back on home turf having signed for Cape Town City.
The 34-year-old returns to familiar territory after 14 years abroad, where he played in the Netherlands for Ajax Amsterdam before heading to the United Arab Emirates to do duty for Al Jazira and Khor Fakkan. He’ll don the number 8 jersey at the Citizens.
Whether ‘Cream’ still has it or not is a waiting game as the country looks forward to watching him in action.
However, City coach Muhsin Ertugral is certainly not in two minds that Serero would deliver and live up to expectations.
The details regarding his contract have not been revealed by the club.
