South African forward Thembinkosi Lorch has hit the ground running in Morocco.
Two months into his stay at Wydad Casablanca—on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns—Lorch has been nominated for Wydad’s Player of the Month for March.
The 31-year-old has featured six times for Wydad, scoring a goal, and his contribution has not gone unnoticed.
If he wins the award, he’d follow in the footsteps of countryman and teammate Cassius Mailula, who bagged the award in January.
In recent times, reports have emerged that Wydad is looking to keep the duo on a permanent basis. Wydad has an option to make the deals for Lorch and Mailula permanent.
While Lorch arrived from Sundowns, Mailula is on loan from MLS side Toronto FC.
