Arab energy experts and representatives of regional and international organisations met in Cairo today to discuss ways to develop the Arab Green Hydrogen Strategy and bilateral cooperation to enhance renewable energy efficiency. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.
During its 18th meeting at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the Committee of Experts on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency discussed a number of key topics, including the follow-up mechanism of the Arab Green Hydrogen Strategy, the outcome of the Sixth Arab Forum on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, and ways to cooperate with regional and international organisations.
Discussions focused on strengthening green hydrogen strategies, promoting sustainable development goals and enhancing energy security in the region. Participants also exchanged ideas and experiences on utilising available resources for the development of renewable energy technologies.
The meeting aimed to lay the foundations for joint co-operation between Arab countries that will promote innovation and investment in clean energy technologies.
The participants highlighted the importance of the Arab strategy for joint action in the field of green hydrogen and launching a network in this field, emphasising the need to enhance cooperation between institutions and bodies involved in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
