MK Party Stands To Rake In Millions From 1st Anniversary Gala Dinner and Hospitality Packages

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party has released the pricing of its gala dinner tables and access to the hospitality suites at Moses Mabhida Stadium, where the celebration will be held.

The Umkhonto Wesizwe (MK) Party is set to rake in millions should its plan to sell gala dinner table and hospitality packages during its first anniversary in Durban next month materialise.

On Monday, November 25th, the ANC’s splinter party, led by former President Jacob Zuma, released the pricing of its gala dinner tables and access to the hospitality suites at Moses Mabhida Stadium, where the celebration will be held.

The celebration will start on December 15. The party said this is more than a celebration; it is an event to mark a legacy.

“This celebration is more than an event; it is a moment to honour our shared legacy and pave the way for future success. We encourage our stakeholders to take part in this historic milestone and contribute to the growth of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party.

“Packages are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis,” it said in a statement containing the price list.

If an individual member wants to have a seat in one of the suites, they have to fork out R5000. In return, the cadre will get food and drinks and official MK Party regalia. To secure the suite that accommodates 30 people, a member must part ways with R150 000.

The steepest prizes members would pay would be during the gala dinner on December 16 at the Olive Convention Centre along Durban’s beachfront. The platinum speak table which comes with 30 tickets is being sold for R2 million, while the golden spear table which comes with 25 tickets will cost R1.5 million.

An individual ticket to the gala dinner will cost a member R25 000.

The party said purchasers of gala dinner tables will receive complimentary suite tickets for the mass public celebration suites (the main rally), ensuring a seamless and exclusive experience throughout the celebrations.
