China will work with Africa to take 10 partnership action plans for modernization to deepen China-Africa cooperation and spearhead the Global South modernization, said Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday in his keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Beijing.

“China and Africa account for one-third of the world population. Without our modernization, there will be no global modernization. In the next three years, China will work with Africa to take 10 partnership actions for modernization to deepen China-Africa cooperation and spearhead the Global South modernization,” said Xi.

The 10 partnership action plans are respectively on mutual learning among civilizations, trade prosperity, industrial chain cooperation, connectivity, development cooperation, health, agriculture and livelihoods, people-to-people exchanges, green development and common security.
