The Chinese government, together with nine key departments, has issued new rules aimed at combining digital development with green economic transformation. This is reported by China Daily, a partner of TV BRICS.
These rules focus on two main objectives:
- building a green and low-carbon digital industry;
- utilising digital technologies to accelerate the green transformation of various sectors of the economy.
The aim is to combine digital development with the green economy, creating new technologies that will integrate with green industries and help traditional industries adopt digital and green technologies.
The rules outline the key principles and roles to be played by government agencies, industry organisations, universities, research institutes, and businesses to successfully implement this transition.
Regions are encouraged to develop high-quality economies, use local resources, and create specialised industries to accelerate digital and green development.
