The Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Jiu-Jitsu World Tour, which will be held in Moscow from 30 August to 1 September 2024, has already attracted the attention of the world’s best athletes.
More than 30 countries have already confirmed participation in the tournament, including Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Portugal, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. This shows the tournament’s great popularity at the international level, reports the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation.
Ambassador of the UAE to the Russian Federation Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber emphasised the importance of the tournament in strengthening sports and cultural ties between the nations. He also noted that the tournament is a reflection of the close relations between the UAE and Russia, as well as Abu Dhabi’s success in popularising jiu-jitsu in the international arena.
“The tournament contributes to strengthening sports and cultural ties between nations. On 30 August, a new tournament series will be held in the city of Moscow, which is one of the important stages of the tournament and reflects the friendly relations between the UAE and the Russian Federation,” the ambassador said.
The event will be attended by the strongest jiu-jitsu masters and international stars, including athletes who are UAE national team members.
The winners of the tournament will receive 2,000 points in the world ranking.
