The Saudi Space Agency (SSA) announced the opening of the Concurrent Design Facility (CDF) and the introduction of a tool such as the Integrated Mission Lifecycle (IML).
According to the SSA’s official website, the CDF is designed to accelerate the planning and execution of space missions. It is expected to reduce feasibility study time by up to 75 per cent and system design costs by as much as 50 per cent by streamlining the design process. The CDF will also serve as a venue for workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives among space industry professionals.
Alongside this, SSA has adopted IML as a standardised approach to project and programme management. IML aims to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and foster cooperation within the agency.
These measures position SSA as a leader in managing complex engineering projects, notes the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
