The Ministry of Culture is preparing to launch a platform dedicated to Brazilian audiovisual productions in the second half of this year, reports Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.
The project was conceived by the Audiovisual Secretariat (SAV) and is in the final stages of production. The idea is to make national films, serials and documentaries available for free.
According to the ministry, the initiative is based on Law 13.006/2014, which encourages the screening of national productions in schools, guaranteeing full access to cultural rights.
“The platform aims to facilitate public access to cultural works and to strengthen education and national identity through audiovisual materials,” the culture ministry adds.
