LIMPOPO – In a proud moment for the Limpopo Legislature, the African National Congress (ANC) and many people from all spheres of society, Dr Makoma Makhurupetje, Speaker of the Legislature, has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Administration by the University of Limpopo.
Makhurupetje, the ANC’s provincial executive committee (PEC) member and former Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) MEC, officially received her Doctoral Degree at the graduation ceremony in Polokwane on Saturday, 12 April 2025.

It’s official, Orlando Pirates will face Pyramids at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 19 April, with kick-off set for 18:00.
The two sides meet in the first leg of their semifinal encounter, before Pyramids host the second leg a week later.
Pirates had to seek other alternatives as their traditional home, Orlando Stadium, will be hosting the Grace Bible Church from 18 – 20 April.

The Chris Hani family has added its voice to the calls to have a full inquest into the April 1993 assassination of the late ANC bigwig and South African Communist Party (SACP) General Secretary in Boksburg.
